Grand Gaube - our tropical beachfront bungalow-apartments are found in a spacious villa under a palmtree garden directly on the beach in Grand Gaube; a small fishermens village way up in the warm & dry north of the island. It´s shallow waters, famous islands, diving & kiting spots & plenty of entertainment possibilities in the vicinity make this place a perfect one for your holidays.
Our villa is devided into two apartments - one on each floor & a lovely little honeymoon Studio on garden level.
The balconies & the garden offer you a beautiful view to the lagoon and the islands of the north, like Coin de Mire (gunners coin), Round Island & Flat Island. The property has its own direct access to one of the best beaches in the north and is surrounded by a tropical garden which is full of colourful flowers & wind waving palmtrees.

Honeymoon Studio: (sleeps 2 guests), fully equipped kitchen & veranda with dining table downstairs, bathroom, sleeping room, lounge with TV & balcony upstairs. The Studio is airconditioned.

Prices are per Apartment/ Studio a day. Rate in Mauritian Rupees RS is valid (Euro rate depends on current exchange rate). Daily room cleaning and an DSL Internet connection are included.
The Apartments & Studio are self-catering and have a fully equipped kitchen. A maid for preparing dinner/ dishes can be arranged. Two Restaurants are in the close vicinity. Plenty of entertainment possibilities & a full variety of Restaurants can be found in Pereybere and Grand Baie (20 minutes by car/ Taxi).

Jason & Nico would simply love to show you how to become an accomplished Kite Surfer. As professionals, they have set up a training center in Grand Gaube, ideally situated on the windward side of the northern part of Mauritius.
Kitesurfing can be considered as an extreme sport by all that we show of it, actually it’s accesible for all of us.
To make you improve quickly, there is a constant boat and radio support from which instructions are given.
Should you wish to push your acquired skills into the realms of competition, Jason and Nico have tailored personalized training sessions at your disposal.
Incase of no wind, KITE@NORTH offers you Surfing initiation and Stand-Up Paddle Board ( SUP ) renting. One of the best waveriding spots is right at the reef.
Grand Gaube, having been luckily spared from the expansion due to tourism, has not changed for years. It is now well-known for traditional wooden boat and pirogue building. At walking distance, a small post office and some small grocery stores. Only one 3-star hotel, Paul et Virginie, shows the booming tourism trend of recent years. It is recommended to rent a car or take a taxi to visit Grande Baie and other tourist sites.
Some of the worlds best Deep-Sea fishing spots can befound here and the best season is from October to June. Excursions by catamaran or boat to l’Ile Plate and l’Ilot Gabriel or inside the lagoon with barbecue on l’Ile d’Ambre or l’Ilôt Bernache can be organized for you. The experienced divers could also take part in underwater excursions to famous St Géran wreck which sunk in 1744 and which had been immortalized by Berbardin de St Pierre in his world famous book, Paul et Virginie.
